Healthy Strawberry Basil Ice Cream (w/ a Sweet Maqui Balsamic Syrup [w/ a secret ingredient!]) (Vegan, GF, RSF)

I know. I know what the flavor skeptics are going to say. "Basil AND balsamic in ice cream form??" "Are you crazy?!" "Like in caprese???" And to all of the above, I say YES. Yes super tasty & creamy strawberry ice cream with a light infusion of fresh sweet basil. YES as in some of the flavors in caprese. And yES I am crazy for making ice cream this way, but let me say this: it works. The flavors are impeccable: the strawberry basil ice cream is surprisingly sweet, fruity, light, and fresh. Think classic strawberry ice cream with herbaceous notes. And yes the maqui balsamic syrup literally just tastes like a slightly tangy, very sugary (w/o the sugar), tropical-berry and grape-flavored syrup (because pure balsamic, NO salt, garlic, etc. IS based on grape must after all). All together it's a gourmet feast for the tastebuds, with lots of fresh berry flavor, light herby/acidic notes, and a whole LOTTA sweetness & luscious creaminess reminiscent of gelato. And it's all vegan, refined sugar free, and naturally colored, btw. Do yourself a favor and go make this ice cream right now! Mangé!
